Ms. Yu is a co-founder of Insight IP. Her practice focuses on intellectual property laws. Ms. Yu has helped a wide variety of clients, including small SMEs, universities and multinational enterprises, obtain, protect and enforce IP rights in China. She also provides validity, infringement and enforcement opinions to clients, and advises clients on the creation, management and leverage of their IP portfolios. One of the patent validity cases she represented was selected as one of the Top 10 Exemplary Intellectual Property Cases of the Year. In addition, Ms. Yu is devoted to training and building a dedicated team and developing strong relationships with clients. Ms. Yu also is responsible for running of the US Office of Insight IP, counseling US clients on Chinese IP practices and assisting Chinese clients in the procurement and enforcement of IP rights in the US.

Before founding Insight IP, Ms. Yu was a team leader at one of the largest IP firms in China, where she was responsible for patent reexamination and invalidation proceedings.

Ms. Yu was an examiner at the CNIPA (former SIPO) from 1988 to 1994.

Ms. Yu is a member of AIPPI, LESI and FICPI.
