Ms. Liu joined Insight IP in 2004, and has progressively taken leadership roles within the Firm. Ms. Liu specializes in patent mapping, preparation, prosecution, re-examination, invalidation and protection, with experience in outbound patent practice in the United States, Europe and Japan as well as patent drafting in English. She has been a client team leader for a Hong Kong university, a client team leader for a university-based enterprise in Beijing, a team leader dedicated to a major Korean display device manufacturer, and a deputy department manager for the electrical and mechanical department at Insight IP.

Ms. Liu is also responsible for building and training the semiconductor and electric circuit team.

Ms. Liu’s team provides a full range of services related to patent application strategy, patent application drafting and Chinese and international prosecutions. Each of her team members is dedicated to thoroughly understanding and analyzing incoming international applications before advising clients on maximizing intellectual property protection in line with the local Chinese practice. 

Ms. Liu’s clients include major European, Japanese, Taiwanese and American electronics companies, universities in China and Hong Kong and a major Korean display device manufacturer.

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Liu worked as an engineer at the Microelectronics Institute of Beijing University, where she participated in the research and development of semiconductors and electric circuits.
